In this Quick Licks we are going to re visit our Single String Shredding Technique but add in a tricky picking pattern. Each fretted note is picked once, each open string is picked twice. This makes the picking pattern very tricky to play at speed. Don't try to shred it ahead of it's time. My demo is what it will sound like once you practice it a good bit. This is our 100th QUICK LICKS!!!

NICELY DONE!!! This picking pattern is straight on the left hand but then it changes a bit on the fretting hand. The pattern is complex. You don't seem to have any trouble at all with it. Well played!!!! This works on every string and is a great warm up workout for your picking. You killed and you are ready for the next level.

You just.
LEVELED UP!!!!

Take 1 Sarge, there is one little extra picked note in there that I didn't notice until I played the YT video back, I can do it again if you want me to, I do quite like the extra note though cool.gif tongue.gif

Nice!!! This is all about straight line speed on a single string. Also, yet another example of having to keep a solid palm mute while your picking hand goes for it!!! These shapes connect together and sound pretty spiff. This will work on every single string. Yet another killer drill for warming up and getting your blood moving in your fingers. Try it on all the strings for working up your endurance!!!
You've got this sorted!
You just..
LEVLELED UP!!!!
