Alright guys, check this out!

This is my very first collaboration so, I am counting on everyone here on making this an awesome experience

I called it like this because it uses the track from 'Metal Metrics #1' and here's the important stuff that you should know:

Tempo: 115 BPM
Key: C minor
Scales: C Aeolian/ C Minor Pentatonic
Backing track - attached at the bottom of the post

Upload your takes here please, one with the backing one with the solo only - you know the drill . The video takes can be sent through rapidshare/ yousendit or www.transfer.ro, to my official GMC email adress: [email protected]

Please let me know you sent stuff through the methods above, by writing in this thread!

It doesn't really matter how your guitar is tuned, as long as you stick to the before mentioned scales.

You can solo wherever you wish and for how long you wish I am expecting everyone to participate regardless of their playing level - don't forget, collabs have to be fun so let's have it!!

A good deadline would be August, the 3rd, Wednesday!

Hey Cos-man! I'd really like to participate in this one. I don't listen much to this type of music, so at the moment I'm drawing a complete blank on what to play over this backing.. but who knows, perhaps that's just a good thing, being unbiased.

I"m actually trying it with my Classical guitar as an accoustic solo but by the time I record it could be anything, or everything I've written for it

Unfourtunately i couldn´t record myself because i have a crapy camera, and if i' had recorded it the sound would be awful.

I may add that this was the most difficult back i've ever played man, it was a nice challenge!

Allright! Here's my entry this time with HD !!
I got a new vid cam so from now on I'm shooting all vids with it.

This took quite time to compose and I think this is the most advance piece I can create now.
It was tricky to figure something in the middle part but I found that tapping would do it. Enjoy !!

I wish I could travel through time and undo some things I've done or approach others with a different mindset, but getting back to the real world, I am starting to prepare myself for this collab

Here is my take with and without backing. Three solos really. Structured almost as Verse/Chorus/Verse. Like any good song, a solo should have a Begining, Middle, and End and hopefully each spot is identifiable. I've tried to illustrate the sections by using different fx for the chorus solo than the two verse solos. Also, the chorus solo is more fluid to go over the slower section, where as the verse solos are more syncopated over the faster sections and linked more to the kick drum. In short, it's a mini lesson on harmonic construction I tried to not teach and just play but I couldn't help myself. It was just to perfect of a backing to pass up for this!

P.S. I'm attaching the "Psycho Synthetic" custom guitar rig patch I used to get the wacky keyboard sounding guitar thing. Not for everything, but handy for a unique tone.

Todd here I just completed the video for my take. Sorry for the lag. As usual I spent far too much time creating layers and messing with fx. I wanted a Quasi 80's blown out look for this one. E I'm going to use some of the lick from my Solo Take in this Weekends lesson about Solo Construction. BIG thanks to Cosmin for letting the Vid Chat Lesson use his backing. YOU RAWK! Enjoy!

Can't wait to see how it turns out My takes seem to run long and usually get cut up in to little, tiny, micro snippets in the final collab video, but I guess that's what happens to everyones otherwise the videos would be 20 minutes long Still, I'm really looking forward to your final edit. Great backing and great solos from everybody!
