Hey there GMC - my name's Joe. I got my first guitar when I was about 8 or 9, a baby taylor acoustic. I played pretty sporadically for years, never going past the basic major chords until ~a couple months to a year ago. Now I'm 17 and trying to learn theory, new techniques, etc. I've been steadily improving lately and I decided to take the plunge and reforge myself into a mightily awesome guitarist, with the help of you great people at GMC. I'm going to work especially hard now as summer has just freed up a lot of time for me.
Before I got my telecaster (specifically the Aerodyne model, sorry I couldn't find a better link), I played a pretty beat up musicmaster which really barely even worked with an amp, but I'm pretty happy with the new one. Anyway, hi. This post has been edited by JVM: Jun 2 2007, 10:52 PM -------------------- Gear: Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, Gibson '67 RI Flying V, Mesa Boogie F-30 112 combo, crazy pedals.

Welcome! And I take it you dig the Marshall JVM amp Actually, those are my initials I've never played it (never even played a marshall, though I've heard enough good stuff about them to want to try them out). I play a fender GT which is I think somewhat rare model, 1x12 practice amp with some nice distortion options. ^ that's my gear. By the way - I listen to all kinds of music. In fact I have over 64 gigs of music in my library, around 900 albums which I have all listened to which range from Tupac to Vai to Jeff Beck to Muse to AC/DC to NIN to Daft Punk to Al Green to Dinosaur Jr.... basically covering every genre you can think of. My myspace is here where you can check a big list of pictures of just a few of my idols ( and a geeky old pic of me) If you noticed the Jimmy Chamberlin pic, I'm also a drummer though I'm not too good (I can keep a beat but I'm much better with guitar). Just wondering, how does your tele sound? No way I'm gonna get one, no offence, but IMO, i hate how they look, but im wondering what it sounds like.Thanks. |
