Especially for the price, you get anew developed slim neck with 24 frets which is quite uncommon for Gibson/Epiphone guitars and it also helps making the head less heavy. The hardware is good, the wood is ok, the craftmanship is very good and the Pickups are Top notch: This little beast screams like I've only heard a few high end superstrats scream which makes this SG great for leads! -The wood quality is not the best (it's not a Gibson) so it does not have a lot of low end -This is a METAL guitar so don't expect any vintage Gibson SG sounds, it sounds very modern... ...but in a good way. Epi's are cheap, but i would say that the quality is usually way better than the pricetag will indicate. I've played quite a few Epiphones and while they arent exactly up to a "real" Gibson, they are still great. As allready mentioned, the pickups are usually the worst part of them.
