Event Horizon - I saw this movie when I was 13 and it scared the stew out of me. This is probably my favorite horror movie. It blends jump scenes, with gore and tension in just the right proportions to leave you worn out. It's not like Saw/Hostel who just unnerves you with anticipation and gore or these other horror flicks that are just jump scenes.

Usually I don't really like horrors or movies that just try to shock you with excessive violence. I don't find any pleasure in watching them and usually end up doing other stuff than watching the movie before I turn it of.
Event Horizon however, in my opinion is a great movie! Not a whole lot happens at first and it just keeps building up an unnerving atmosphere. I liked that as opposed to the usuall slashing, burning, shooting, etc.
