Task 40: https://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/deep-digging/
As the season draws in and thing get even colder, we've got to keep those fingers working ! So I've unearthed a gem from David Walliman which has some groovy chromatic licks with some vibrato and bending. It's quite expressive and you may find it demanding but thankfully it's short so I think you'll manage this ok in the week that you have ! This will be another good opportunity to work on timing and vibrato.. and it sounds cool as anything Deadline is next Friday 9th November or I'll make you watch Bambi 7 times in a row with no sleep, food or drink. |

Ok here we go. I didn't know if I would get it up this week. At full speed it was pretty quick with the finger gymnastic's, so I'm happy that I got this.
A few timing issues and my unison bends could be better but I really enjoyed playing these licks, some really great stuff in here. No video this week I don't have time. http://soundcloud.com/zoomify/deep-digging-lesson |

Yeah, just a few timing blips but I reckon you really got behind that and gave it plenty of attitude ! You deserve that Donut ! One thing I'd try to do is aim for more note separation, like at 00.05. That second open E string should ring out clearly. So use your right hand to mute notes so they don't ring too long so they 'pop out' |

Here what I can do at full speed, as I already said it's to fast for me for the moment ^^
Sorry for the end, I did plenty of takes and not to succeed playing pentatonic licks made me angry http://soundcloud.com/krysz78/trydigging This post has been edited by Christophe: Nov 8 2012, 02:15 PM -------------------- Gear : ESP LTD MH-401QM ; Zoom G2.1Nu ; Blackstar HT-5 Preamp ; Blackstar HT-112 Speaker;

Keep it up brother, you're right there. You can feel the attitude in your playing, shouldn't take you long to kick that take in the arse! Oh do you mean play it open then mute it? Hmm Yeah ok. I'll just make a cup of tea now and enjoy my donut. Yes that's right Enjoy your tea and 'nut ! If you do manage to slow the backing track down somehow then that will help |

Here is my attempt, full speed. The bends are not really good. I know I could do it better with more time. But tonight, my left hand hurts, so this is why I came with so far.

You nailed the riff, it sounds really solid ! Yes, bends are not quite there in places but overall, it's cool. Welcome back |
