If you are new to the DAW world, or new to LOGIC PRO, it can seem daunting. The good news is that older Macs are now getting cheaper due to new Apple Silicon and this might be a chance to dive in and get a reduced priced intel mac that will still run Logic Pro for years to come. I've seen older Mac Minis on EBAY for $255 with a quad core processor and 16gb of ram and an SSD! This machine could run logic, final cut pro, and premiere like a champ.

You can really do it all in logic. I do add Overloud Thu (but there is an entire guitar sim/fx/cab plugin built in to logic that many folks use) and I add EZ drummer ( although logic has a great drum plugin with samples) the interface may look intimidating but it's really not. This vid goes in to detail about mixing on logic. It's a LONG video. An hour and a half. But, if you are running a Hackintosh, or getting a cheap intel mac, or even if you are using an ipad that now runs the full version of Logic, it's just a great daw imho.
