Just picked up a Pod XT today. Any advice on cool stuff to do with it or amp/fx combinations. I did not get the live since it felt plastic and no where near as solid as my Boss DD-20 pedal I got last week. If I am going to be stepping on something with my size 17 foot and 360lbs of weight behind it I want something a bit more solid.

If anyone wants to argue with me about that I am more than willing to listen since I can still get a foot pedal attachment for the XT.

In any case lots of possibilities and I figure its quicker to ask what combo's you all like to start with.

Hello from Milwaukee, WI USA.

Typical story - had a guitar since I was a teen attempted to learn it on and off a few times with little success. I'm 25 years old now and decided to try to pick it up again; hopefully more motivated or at least more disciplined his time.

My current rig is a Hwy 1 Strat and a Cyber-Champ amp and a brand new Boss DD-20 Delay pedal. I also have a jumbo acoustic/electric fender that just does not sound right ... probably should get it looked at. In the past I had a squire strat that I umm outgrew (If you don't know how you can outgrow a guitar without being able to play much more than 2 or 3 chords don't look at me for the answer). tongue.gif

Anyways I use to frequent guitarnoise when I had the urge to try to learn witch I did once more last night and happened across a google ad with a tapping lesson from GMC. I immediately signed up afterwards.

I am a electronic engineer by degree a system administrator by profession and plan on going back to grad school but I would gladly give it up to be a rock star ... hell I would settle for any genre cool.gif

Anyone have a Boss DD-20 pedal? I picked one up today as my first pedal. Well not really first pedal but first and only current once since I sold the couple cheaper dunlops I had years ago when I first bought some guitar equipment that never got utilized.

Current guitar is a Fender Hwy 1 and a Cyber Champ amp - should this complement them well? I first, as in yesterday, decided to pick up my guitar again after failing miserably to learn to play on and off between 16 and 18 years old. I am now 25 .... hopefully more motivated or at least disciplined and it will happen this time with GMC.

Right now I am more psyched that I can play through it when practicing rather than dragging my amp around and dealing with that but obviously could of gone cheaper if that is all I cared about. I like the idea of delay but really am not anywhere good enouph to put it through its paces right now. Does it deal well.
