GMC Forum _ CHILL OUT _ How To Make A Video With A Webcam

hey, dont know where i should post that thread... i hope here is someone who can help me...

i bought a cheap webcam on ebay to make my rec_videos!

today i want to start with that, but im to stupid or something like that.

im clicking the button "start captue" the only think that happens is that a window opens and i have to choose a file...

i dont know what to do next... cant choose any file... nothing works...

is it possible at all to make a video with a web cam?

Have you tried typing in a NEW file name for the capture to write/save into? That's what this window sounds like, a "save" dialog asking you what file name to use when saving the capture.

yeah, i try to do that, but i cant click the enter button...

is there any freeware that i can use with a webcam to make videos?

Windows Movie Maker ?

Webcams usually come packed with their own drivers and capture program. Are you sure you installed it all?

Maybe upload a screenshot for us so we can see what the software you mention looks like wink.gif

hey, yeah i tried that, but it doesnt work!
but now i get it.
i forgot to make a *.wmp file...

on the first day i called that file "new" and it doesnt work, now i called new.wmp and it works...

by the way i hate computers...

thanks for all your help!

now it works, but the quality is soooo bad, maybe it was a little bit to cheap... dry.gif
