Gmc Gig Calendar, Suggestion

Muris' and Emir's tour gave me an idea. Perhaps we could have a GMC Gig Calendar where everyone who is in a band (or solo) can enter the details of where and when their gigs are. The calendar could have a filter by country feature and it would help GMC members to support each other live.

What does everyone else think?

Sorry to be a miserable git but I think these are only really needed on a local music forum. If a band is touring outside of their locality then it may be worth a forum topic but I don't think a gig calendar would be of any use. People may disagree of course.

I think it sounds like a great idea - easiest would be if we placed this somewhere in the wiki I think!

Sounds good to me.

For starters it would be nice if anyone having a gig would write a small entry in our wiki stating the location, dates, band name, genre, etc. Even audio samples or even videos would be cool for an after-gig review, etc.

I check wiki articles daily and if I see this kind of entry I will soon add it to the journal smile.gif

i think it would be cool....most would probably be local shows, but it could give a chance for gmc members who live close to each other meet some of their fellow members...

if i knew a gmc member was playing a show near me, id def go see it

I think it is a great Idea, with time hopefully some will be giging in the U.S, and hopefully I play a gig in Europe. I would sure try to catch any show from fellow GMCers when I can.
