Hey guys
I went to Muris' personal board to download the Steve Lukather style lesson's backing track, and found it. Problem is that its in quicktime format, and to download it to your computer I am prompted to buy the pro version of quicktime. I don't want to do that
So can anybody give it to me in another format (if you can) that my computer can use?
It's in standard mp3 format. I just downloaded and played it using Windows Media Player, QuickTime (free), Winamp and iTunes software. Do you have a MAC? What am I missing here?
Try and give us more detailed information so we can help.
Just right click and save. Play with any media player you have that supports mp3 which is most all out there.
Ok I clicked on the link, it took me to the quicktime player, and I am supposed to right click and choose an option to save it right?
I am guessing thats where I went wrong...
Ok thanks guys i got it
Yeah man, just right click on the link and then "save as" and play it with whatever player you like.
Maybe you have Quicktime as chosen program to open that file format. Change it
You can always right click the mp3 file and choose Open With and use some other software..
Good Luck if you are practicing this lesson. Its pretty tricky, bends, timing mainly.
Cheers man!
I'm assuming your using Firefox. If so you need to tell FF what to do with the file. Go to Tools>Options and then scroll down the list to mp3 click the down arrow and should give you some options - one of which is download.
Just to get some more views.....
here's my take:
Everything for marketing purposes haha
Great to hear it all worked out with the mp3 thing
Nice take man!! You should post it on the Rec Program!
I want more views tooo...
What did you get for that in REC? I got 9.6
I got a 9...
@ maharzan & Kaz -- There there now fellas .. It's not a competition ...
I might've got a 11 on my take .. It was an amazing dream
How did this conversation spur from my question??
But I did get it working and its on the REC now!
My take
I am just answering the question. Didn't meant to start a new discussion diverting from the original. Sorry ppl.
Rob, Nice take man.. and a cool looking guitar as well. I think there are few timing issues and I know its really hard to keep that in pace. I think with more practice it can get done.
Congrats!
I think your take is really pretty good man
The only thing that I would suggest is turning off the Modulation effect (Phaser, Flanger, Chorus.). What ever that is, it's making your tone move left and right and messing things up.
Other then that nice job!
Yeah, there was a phaser effect in GR4. I wish it would come through to stereo, because it adds a whole other dimension!! It sounded so much better. I mention this in my post for REC. If anyone can tell me how to make a truer sound come from all the compressions it goes through, please.
Wow, great takes, people!
Rob, I think you should simply turn the phaser off in GR4. Your take is so good that it doesn't need any additional effects. Well,
that's just my oppinion, tho...
Nice takes indeed!
I saw other 2 before and now Rob's, very good.
I just hope I don't get points marked for the dang phaser....
