Theres something about this lesson thats confusing me alot. In the 2nd video we can see that Pavel starts with a downstroke and then an upstroke on the string thats above. Im confused about this because i thought that sweeping was Up then down.

For example, this is what i Pavel does in the 2nd video.

\/ = Pickstroke Up

And it seems weird for me, and this is the way i do it:

Notice that i start with an upstroke. What i wanted to know is, that if my method is bad, or is it limited for speed, this way is easier for me, but if its gonna limit my speed (which is what i want to achieve) id rather go for the other one. Any help? thanks.

lol, you want to achieve to limit your speed ?
haha kiddin

I think it doens't really matter if you're used to it.

let Pavel decide biggrin.gif

BTW: I just noticed I also begin with upstroke when I go for it smile.gif

I notice that you are doing 2 downstrokes on 1 string.
You shouldn't do that.
Alternate picking on 1 string.

I don't even understand what the problem is! Do it as you like! It's your own thing - for example Michael Angelo does sweeps with different picking pattern than Rusty and they are both lightning fast so you shouldn't care about it! Just play how it feels more comfortable!

IMO it's easier the way Pavel does it...and it makes the notes more "defined" but I guess
u should play it the way that's more comfortable to you
Btw i'm practicing this lesson 3 hours a day (20mins. non-stop then break then 20min. non-stop...etc.)
Great lesson Pavel biggrin.gif

EDIT:lol seems Pavel and I posted it the same time tongue.gif
