In my opinion it's the first Streetfighter bike after the Kawasaki Z 750 and Z1000 who really catches the feeling of a fighter.

Triumph Speed Triple?? wink.gif

Hahah i thought someone will post a Triumph Speed Triple biggrin.gif Here in Germany she is very popular. It's unbelievable how many Speed Triple i saw the last bike season on the road. I love the one arm bail but i didn't like the front. But that's just me.

Ooooh - nice ride edguy & thanks for your feedback on my Duc.
Had the same feeling more or less, but I had a Ducati Monster 900 before and I really think that the Monster was a REAL naked Bike as well.

Triumph Speed Triple?
I hated them when they came out (what are those googly eyes suppose to mean??) - BUT it grew on me and I was considering buying one.

Then I did a days test driving and was rather shocked about the lack of power ,y model actually had.
My Ducati was a 2001 build and the Speedtriple a 2008 - sorry but I would have busted the triumph with my Duc anytime.
But it may also be the case that my bike was a so called "show & ride bike" - which is only meant to be tested by everyone interested in the bike - I don´t think that this is very good for the engine.

Nevertheless testing the Streetfighter S was unbelievable: after 50meters I really laughed loud into my helmet.
Just had to have two serious conversations: One with my wife and the second with my bank account manager.
I leave it up to you to guess which conversation was more difficult ?! wink.gif

Oh Man - with this thread I can´t wait for spring to come even more!!

That's a nice story. I think you made the right choice a loud laugh under the helmet is the best sign for that biggrin.gif In 2 Weeks i am going to a big bike exposition where they show many custom bikes the new bikes of 2010 and many tuning parts. I think after that i am going crazy and want to ride my bike as soon as possible biggrin.gif

Hi all!

Just wanted to know if there are any bikers here at GMC so we might share yet another passion? wink.gif

A few weeks ago I had to finally put my new "bella" into her winter quarters - miss her already!
Besides my family and playing guitar this is my third love.

I really love to cruise through the hills outside of Vienna or even take a longer route through the picturesque landscapes of the Wachau (some 80km from where I live)

I have included a photo of my bike (YES it´s new! biggrin.gif) - come on: I wanna see your cool bikes as well!

Really looking forward to it!

Cheers

PS. One of the most sarcastic but very funny (at least for me) signature I have read in a bike forum was:
"Pro CO2 - I don´t need Winter!" laugh.gif

Hi

I drive this bike: BMW K1200 RS with 130 HP Attached Image

Cheers

I miss my bike. I had a 91 Suzuki GSXR 750. About three days after my daughter was born, I was at a stoplight waiting for a green. I glanced in my rearview and wasn't convinced the car coming behind me was slowing fast enough. I just doodled in between the curb and the car I was behind when the car coming up from behind me rear ended the car I was behind. I missed it by a second. After that, I decided I wanted to watch my kids grow up and that getting caught up in someone elses mess wasn't a risk I cared to take anymore. I'll get back into them some day.

Nice bikes guys! I drool for that Ducati!

Oh man - that´s exactly the kind of story which I hear quite often when I´m talking to EX-bikers.
It makes you think of course, but on the other hand it´s not enough to stop me from driving (yet).

There is ONE little sentence I´m saying to myself BEFORE I turn on the ignition: "I´m NOT a skillfull biker!"
It helps me to stay focused without taking too much risks. My new bike really helps with this as well because I have a LOT of respect for 155HP on a 170kg machine. And having a family with a 3,5 year old kid helps too.

Keep safe all of you!!

The BMW was just 5 years old when it bought it. For me that wa slike brand new.

It is a very nice machine. Glad I have bought it.

Ok, here are some pictures of my bike. Or I should say the bike I used to have. I sold it last spring and I sure do miss it. Oh well, maybe I'll get one again someday... except I had a tendency to twist the throttle a little too much. biggrin.gif .

Kawas are cool and Naked Bikes are the BEST IMO!

That´s why I was considering these bikes:
Cool Design but one BIIG disadvantage: 4 Zylinders! I Need just 2! wink.gif
Attached Image

VERY cool but I thought much too expensive (if I had know that I will end up with the Ducati Streetfigter S I might have looked closer rolleyes.gif)
AFAIK it´s the most powerfull naked bike atm (45HP more than my Duc!)
Attached Image

Or this one - I think it´s Codeename: KODO speaks for itself! biggrin.gif
Attached Image

All in all I´m happy with the choice I made!

I like the look of it.
As said before - it got 2 zylinders too much for my taste wink.gif

The Kawasaki Marketing focuses a little bit too much on the new looks and not so much on technical innovation, but it´s still a cool bike with more than enough power biggrin.gif
