Sooooo close!!! Take one more look at the tablature Soldier. it goes all the way to an open string. That's the point of this particular Mission. it starts with a tap and goes all the way to an open string and then hammers on from an open string back in to a tapping position. Look for the "0" which means open string in the tab. It's what makes this one a bit tricky!!! Also, make sure to watch the video each time. It's the best way to make sure you are doing it correctly. Watch the pull off all the way to the open string.

Once More in to the breach!!!

Your doing very well on your tapping! You are playing with precision and your speed has more than doubled. Can you hear how much faster you are playing it now? Nice!!

Your making great progress Soldier! I'm working on this reply to your lesson now!

Phil gave me this link which will let you download your mission badge in the even it is giving you trouble. Evidently some folks are getting hung up trying to get their badge!

Soldier, before we move forward. I'd like very much to see you do this drill that I made up for you. It will show any gaps in your mute. It's a demo on how to place the hand and pick. I'm sure you've tried it but I would love to see it in action!

Top notch work on the picking and muting!! This is a great drill to work string traverse and picking since you have to strike twice and traverse strings non stop. It builds confidence, speed, precision, muting, all at the same time. You did a great job on this and it shows how far your skills have progressed well done!!!!!

I'm glad you are going to do the tapping again. You have much better speed but as you mention each not is not yet distinct. When you can make each note stand out, you will have it down! This is a very advanced tapping technique that most players never even attempt due to it's complexity. Bravo on diving in head first!!

I just go by Sarge in Bootcamp Soldier smile.gif Great progress in that video!!!!! Your playing with much better pace and precision. Each note is equidistant from each other note which is a big part of what this drill is about. Keep this up!! Your getting it!!
