I just bought a Tremol no, and I must say I am much happy about it!
Bit of a bitch to install, but well worth it.

Thanks to whoever it was that introduced me to it!

Start by playing something - a bend, a riff, a scale, a song - very slowly; if you make a mistake, start over; do this over and over, until you can play it flawlessly - and I do mean flawlessly - many times in a row. Next, gradually increase the tempo. Eventually you'll be flailing like a madman.

I have always been a bit confused about the Tremol No. Does it still allow you to use the whammy bar in a Vai-kinda way?

Definately! smile.gif

When it's in free floating mode, you can't tell it's there.

Dive only mode is like a vintage trem.

When you lock it, you get your double-stops and pedal tone bends back. smile.gif

So, it should be like having three guitars in one. laugh.gif

Haha, aight. I got my floyd rose working again though - magically. So I might just be sticking to that as long as it works as it should.

It costed me 1070,- NOK.

It's very nice, because you can totally lock your trem, or make it dive only, like strats.
If you go dive only, it won't lose tune if you break a string, for instance.
And the Total lock is very nice for strumming!

What do you mean 'you can tell it's there"?
You actually can not tell it's there, if you set it up properly.

Weeeeeell...
It took me a while to get the tuning right.
You see, the trem no rod has to be paralell with your springs for it not to scrape up.
That means you gotta adjust your screws to get it paralell, which again means you can't really balance your springs...

Grats! smile.gif
I'm considering buying this. I also have an RG.
Which type did you buy? The pin-type or the clamp-type?
The reason I'm asking is that they only sell the pin-type in Sweden, but on tremol-no.com it says that it isn't sure it will work on Ibanez RG among others...

Just tell your local guitarstore to order one. I ordered mine through a local guitarshop, and they ordered from www.gemusikk.no .
