Hey there, welcome to GMC. There's a section detailing how you might go about starting in the video section here, but to keep it short and sweet, find something that obviously is not too hard and is not too easy. It really depends on your skill level. Decide upon a technique you would like to improve upon and master, such as legato, picking, tapping, etc. Find just a couple lessons that look do-able (even if they seem too tough, it's a good idea to do them because how will you improve if you don't challenge yourself?).
Also consider just finding one that sounds great to you and doing that. Anyway, good luck. This post has been edited by JVM: Jul 11 2007, 11:46 PM -------------------- Gear: Fender American Deluxe Stratocaster, Gibson '67 RI Flying V, Mesa Boogie F-30 112 combo, crazy pedals.
