Do you wanna record guitar only?
I advise that you check out Toneport GX (or POD Studio GX as the new model is named). This will solve the audio problems and it costs around 45$. Regarding video, I'm not sure I understand about your camera. How can it record only 46 seconds?? Is it a DV camcoder? How does it record? Does it have a Firewire interface? Regarding video software, you can use Windows Movie Maker, it's free ( when it comes with Windows), or Virtual Dub (freeware) for some simple linear video editing. BTW, Cubase is fine for audio work. You need 2 apps, one for video and one for audio. -------------------- - Ivan's Video Chat Lesson Notes HERE

For good quality recording and most effective one I would suggest toneport gx as Ivan said. Its an audio interface (now called POD studio gx) that will allow you to capture good guitar sound with no latency...Also I would suggest getting a MiniDV camcorder (possibly used one). Those camcorders transfer video data via firewire port so make sure you have that interface in your computer (you can buy firewire PCI card for PC for 10$).Also regarding camcorders , if you can find one with Mic input on it it would make you recording even more efficient. You can check for used MiniDV camcorders and find a good one.
If your camcorder doesen't have mic input you will need one software for video capture and one for audio capture and then you will synchronize both files. If your camcorder do have mic input then you can skip the sync part and record whole mix directly to tape or your PC. -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
