Let's see...I posted these in the original thread:

Practice at least one hour of guitar each day with a practice routine (AP, legato, one new lesson/song per week) CHECK!
Record an album with 10 songs, including vocals (still working on that...but I am working!)
Finish a half marathon this summer (is yet to come)
Train for the half marathon 3 to 4 times a week CHECK!
Go to the gym 3 times a week CHECK!
Lose the gut (that's a classic, right wink.gif ) (still working on that...but I'm on the right track)
Find a new/better job (still working on that...I am sending out applications on a regular basis)
Spend quality time with my friends CHECK!
Get a tattoo (already got the date for it smile.gif ) (got it yesterday, so CHECK!)
Resist any offers of coming back to her my Ex might make (no offers so far wink.gif
Try new things, be open minded, and enjoy life CHECK!

Yeah, all in all I kept my new year's resolutions and I am already seeing results, so I'm sure I'll stick to them a while longer...most likely for the rest of the year tongue.gif

Christian

You messed it up just a little wink.gif
Right version would be: Das ist gut mein Freund!
Come to think of it...did you stick with your resolutions? tongue.gif

Thanks for correcting me, its been a while since I've studied German biggrin.gif One day I'd like to become fluid in it.

As far as my New Year resolutions, I've been determined to stick with them, but I have slipped up a few times wacko.gif The problem with my resolutions is that they're not tasks to be completed, but are in fact a way of changing the way I think and do things. The three resolutions I had were to face life and its challenges with gusto, be punctual, and have no fear of failure. If I were to grade myself right now, I would give myself a 80%, 60%, and 70% respectively. Not perfect, but hopefully by the end of the year I'll be able to get myself in the 90+ percentile wink.gif

Right, I remember the resolution that you wanna get rid of the fear of failure. That's a resolution everyone should have, as well as your other two. I am also working on this stuff, and I've gotten better at it in the last few weeks. A few weeks ago, I thought my current life is a mess, until a good friend of mine told me to change my perspective and think about what is enjoyable about my current situation. It really helped me and now I know that one should face life with gusto, even when the circumstances are really bad, and you will see some new opportunities. I don't know if this makes sense to you or anyone else...but it does to me wink.gif
