Standing Up/sitting Down

Hey GMC. I thought I'd get your input on practicing sitting down or standing up. I have a harder time playing technical things when standing up, so I was wondering if you practice standing or sitting? It sucks learning a piece sitting down only to find that when you stand up like you would for a gig and try out the new piece, you have trouble and you almost have to back track.
