Hi guys,
I wanted to get a new guitar and i was interested in the Ibanez RG1570 model.I asked my father and he questioned me about the guitar and stuff.He agreed and suggested that I get an excellent guitar which would last for a long time.So I was looking at the RG4570Z.It costs about $2500.Do you guys recommend any other guitars around this price range?

What shapes and colors do you prefer? And more importantly what do you want the guitar for? Wouldn't make any sense to get a shredding axe if you play Jazz all day if you get what I mean!

Im interested in the normal shape,similar to most ibanez guitars.Looking for one mainly for metal,shred and stuff like that.
Most colors are okay with me.Not interested in red,green or orange.

That's an awesome guitar.

As far as I know it's almost the same (or even the same) model as last year's RG3620, which you can get thanks to this year's Ibanez Outlet for 1500 €, hich is a great price since it's price was 2100 € on Christmas last year...

That's the good and the bad thing from Ibanez... better get them when they have an outlet!

You could also take a look at a Jackson Soloist, an Ibanez RGA Prestige, a Parker Fly, a Caparison Horus ot Tat or a Music Man Axis!

In that price range, you can get almost any top of the line guitar. I'd recommend checking out as many as possible. You might be able to rule out certain guitars based on the style of music you play and your taste for the looks of the guitar, but you will find many excellent choices even after ruling out the ones obvious to you. In the end ther are three key qualities 1) playability/ergonimics, 2) tone, 3) looks ... probably in that order for me that would influence my choice. Not much help, I know, but if I said "Get a PRS Custom 24,", it might not be right for you. Then again, you might also consider getting a nice guitar say for $900 bucks and then getting a nice amp with the leftover money.

If you are willing to go for used instruments you can even get real Custom Shop guitars used for that much money!

Hmmm,im very interested in the RG4570Z.
Im not sure how i would be able to get used Custom Shop guitars.I live in India,and there are only 2 major shops which have good guitars.
These stores dont even have the Prestige models.You have to place an order and then wait for like 2-3 months to receive the guitar.

Prestige means *made in Japan* for Ibanez guitars. The RG4570z is a prestige Ibanez aswell as the 1570 or the 2550!

What I meant was they dont keep stock of those guitars.Only available through order and advance payment.

OK, so trying out guitars is out of the question. IF you cannot try them in any other way, ONLY THEN I would suggest that you go ahead and buy that Ibanez. It's a great guitar, very nicely built. If you like the way it looks, great - it will sound and play even better. If you can afford it and you like it - go for it

Some great replies, and very well said to ZAKK! Dead on with every suggestion. It sounds like you are heading the right direction with your guitar choice. Make sure you play every instrument you are considering before buying, don't just use the web and order one without playing it through an amp similar to what you'll be using. Also, don't let the guy at the music store plug it in to a huge marshall stack or something, find an amp as close as possible to what you have.

if I wanted a guitar for speed at that price i would go for a parker
