Pick Like Yngwie, Lesson By Ben Higgins |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate!
I think that Darius has given very important tips about your video to improve your camera angle and sound for future entries. About your playing, from what I can hear, you have a good right hand picking but sometimes you lose the sync between both hands, so the best would be to isolate the licks that are not sounding consistent and practice them at slower tempos, to be sure that you are playing everything with both hands in sync. This is a picking based lesson, but it's in the style of Malmsteen. His vibrato technique is very characteristic, wide and aggressive. It would be interesting to dedicate some time to train your left hand to be able to play this kind of aggressive vibrato. It makes neoclassical playing much more expressive. Ok mate, this video also shows that you have a very good level, so congrats and keep on working hard! -------------------- My lessons
