The powermetal band Galneryus has finally released their new album Reincarnations. Check it out it's really cool, definitly a bit more progressive than their earlier work but it's really good. These guys are great because a) they're metal!!! cool.gif they apply theory to it as well.

I know what I'm going to listen to for the next month.

A song from their new album entitled blame yourself: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MFxLPcy8mSg...feature=related

Ihave one thing to say...
SYU IS GOD!!!
he is definitely one of the better players today, his sense of melody breathtaking. i'll have to pick up the new album soon, but I thought they just released One For All - All For One earlier this year?

no, that was 2007.

Regarding Syu's playing style: Yea, he's awesome. Anyone else realized that he implements jazz theory in metal a lot? I mean, just look at his approach to soloing and his chord progressions. It's obvious that he knows what he's doing. I think their older work was better though >.<
