Well - I think I safely can say that me and the moderators have had a watching eye on Rokchik for quite a while!

Rokchik was one of the first ladies who joined our community - and she has shown awesome values as a GMC member: adding a fantastic atmosphere with constructive, supportive and helping posts. In short, she ROCKS!

Congratulations Rokchik - contact Maria for your free GMC membership and the senior T-shirt.

But the promotions don't end here. We couldn't think of a more suitable moderator for our ladies board - so we asked Rokchik if she wanted to help us out - and she did! We hope than eventually more ladies will show up in our forum.

I'm very honored and pretty much humbled by all this. Kris I hope I can keep up the great example set by all the Seniors and Moderators here at GMC. This is pretty much my home away from home so anything I can do to help GMC improve and grow I'm all for it

thought I'd explain it actually.

Well it's a Tragically Hip song from their In Violet Light album. The meaning of the song leaves a lot to be interpreted and there are many ideas about it. Personally I think it's a song about artistic struggle and pretentiousness.

The song is basically done in two parts and has a great time change in the middle. It's very yin yen and one of my favorites by the Hip. Plus as I'm Canadian the "Canuck" reference is fitting (Canuck is a slang word for a Canadian for those who may not know)

I actually have a friend who was an exchange student for a year here in Denmark. He is currently a student at the Carleton University in Ottawa and I'm planning to go visit him when I've graduated this summer. Crazy hoser.

Ottawa is pretty fun. Been a long time since I was there though. I prefer it in the winter as you can skate down the canal and then go catch a good 'ole hockey game Hope you have a great time.

A friend emailed it to me as I was complaining about how I couldn't find a pic with both Morello and Page in it... he came through and then some. It's a photo done by Ross Halfin actually. I've been trying to find it unsuccessfully, so far, as a print to buy as I just love it.
