Thanks for sharing your video and welcome to the forum! smile.gif

Very cool jamming and vibe! You have a great attitude when playing.

As the backing track is a bit repetitive, what would be interesting to try would be playing with dynamics and incorporating more rhythm diversity into phrasing + adding a climax in the solo and a bit of contrast in the lines. I have noticed that you didn't have pauses in your playing (we all tend to do it when jamming). Maybe try starting softly and building up the intensity of playing towards the middle of the solo. By making phrasing more diverse (avoiding long passages played with exactly same rhythm figures/note values), will make the lines sound "fresh".

As a jam, I think your playing in this video has a great vibe and atmosphere and your playing attitude is awesome (which is the most important part)!

Here are some lessons for inspiration that feature nice leads with climax or contrast creation:

Climax:

Contrast:

You are welcome! Hope to see more uploads from you, maybe even a REC take? smile.gif
About pauses in playing - we all tend to get carried away when jamming and skip incorporating pauses. On the other hand, once you are aware of the habit and start experimenting with incorporating pauses in your phrasing, it comes natural and can make a huge difference in the overall leads impression on the listener.

I have a rec belongs to Stephane Lucarelli "John Scofield Style". I will share it with all of you for your comments smile.gif Yesterday I tried pauses while in fast passages, I feel like breathing also this gives my musical sentences more dynamic.

To support Bogdan's suggestions, which should help your ideas a lot, I will tell you a little word of wisdom from the great Miles Davis, who said: 'Don't play what's there, play what's not there' - by that, he meant that pauses and rests are as important as notes and you need them to create shapes.

Your playing is very nicely articulated and you have a good flow, but linearity can kill the good vibe smile.gif Looking forward to seeing you in the chat sessions again and to hear more playing biggrin.gif

Thank you so much Cosmin Lupu! I miss our chats! I learn lots of musical ideas with the licks and approaches that we played at the chat sessions. I love Miles a lot. You are right, in order to play continuously we need a reason, if we want to stop talking, we must have a rest. Thank you for your comment smile.gif

Some really nice playing here man smile.gif Good phrasing and technique, it works well. I get that it's a jam and such, and you've clearly got the skills to play whatever you want. Building a recurring theme/melody through line would the only thing I"d be able to suggest as the rest is already there. A melody through line becomes like the chorus in a vocal song, something to return to, build to, and pull from in the rest of the song. Looking forward to hearing more!!

P.S. KILLER job in chat today smile.gif Those licks are not easy and you drilled and killed!!!

Always a pleasure man! I know how a little detail in our general approach can change the situation and I know how important feedback coming from a fresh pair of ears can be smile.gif When we are so much into our work, we tend to overlook some things that we could easily see if we were not so involved! For me, the same method functions very well - whenever I have a composition, I will show it to friends in order to see if my message gets through within that piece of music. If it does, it means I did good biggrin.gif
