Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Ben's Land Of Legato by Ben Higgins

Hey, It's been awhile since I've last used GMC. I've had a lot going on and I'm just now finding the time to come back and take a crack at things. So here's my second take of Ben's Land Of Legato #1. Hope I pass this time around!

Hello my friend. I just watched through your 1st attempt at this lesson and you have definitely improved a lot. The timing is good, the finger positioning is good. Everything sounds more even now, especially since you are practising with gain.

There was only a couple of minor slips, once when changing shapes and again at the end.. so it's an 8 rather than a 10.. but still a great effort - well done ! smile.gif

Hey there! I agree with Ben and to sum things up, it's a matter of even playing - you need to work on your balance and if you want to achieve that faster, record yourself over Ben's recording and you will most clearly get a good picture regarding the balance I am talking about - when the two recordings match one another - presto! The 10 will be yours!

Keep rocking,

Cosmin

Cosmin has a good idea - When You record with main lesson video You have an idea where You miss the timming with Ben's playing. Perfection is when You both sound like one guitar smile.gif But indeed there is an improvement and Your work for sure wasn't wasted smile.gif

Hey man! Great improvement! I think that you are getting better on this technique very fast. As my friends said, there is still room to improve your timing and the sound of each note while you do legato but you will get it with some more work. Keep on the hard work! wink.gif
