So a friend of mine and I have a healthy gear competitiveness. We probably both loose in the end by buying too much gear, but it's been a lot of fun trying to beat each other to finding gear we're both interested in.
So a few months ago I had been craving a Les Paul again. My Firebird took the place of my les paul when I ended up in a deal I couldn't turn down. I had finally been grasping the difference between the different types (standard, custom etc) and landed on a les paul traditional that I was really vibing with. Dug the heavier weight and big round neck. Held tune well. Pickups were cool, but had a little nasty thing in the top end of the bridge. I never got a chance to check it on a few different amps to see if it was the pickups or the amp I was playing on.
I have a good buddy who works for Guitar Center in Nashville who was telling me he could get a goldtop for a steal for me. Which complicated things.
My plans got put on a halt when I went back to the store and it was gone and I wasn't completely sold on the goldtop, because I couldn't play on it first.
So next thing I know, my buddy now has the LP bug, and buys one. He got a Les Paul Signature T model. Which I had never heard of. Played it today and it's really rad. 60's style neck, little on the lighter side, 57 classics. Very different than my Traditional.
Anyone know much about these Signature T LPs?
