Well for a while ive been trying to do complicated instrumental compositions, and have been failing to do them well. So i thought i should try writing some more simple songs first and i started writing a more simple song meant for a metal band. I probably wont record this as it really needs vocals and i dont have good singing or a microphone.

Anyway id really like peoples opinions, (especially bad ones so i can improve, good ones are welcome as well though),as this is the first thing ive composed in a while that im pleased with and that hasnt been too much of a struggle to write.

Hope you enjoy it. smile.gif

Matt

Edit: Uploaded a midi for people without GP.

Sorry, I can't comment because I don't have GP5 software.

"Think of a guitar solo as a paragraph. You need a clear beginning, a middle, and an end. Look at musical phrases like sentences, and make sure you break them up using punctuation—or space. You pause naturally when conversing, right? If you don't, you'll bore the listener. The same thing will happen with your audience if your solo is one dimensional. You'll wear them out and lose their attention." —Tom Principato
