Item Korg A4 multi effects unit
Offered By Chris Evans (Smells ) Asking price Free to good home (except for p&p, will look into actual cost if someone wants it) will ship to anywhere providing postage costs are met although because of the small value of this unit I`m guessing that it would be more likely to go to someone in the UK or neighbouring countries? [attachment=3195:attachment] Description & reasons I`m not sure of the actual age of this unit, although I can say its got to be at least 8-10 years old??? I bought it when I was playing in a duo around the local pubs and didnt really need anything too "metal" as it was all middle of the road stuff I was playing. If your looking for a high gain thrash sound then this is most definatly NOT the unit for you, however as a FIRST effects unit I think its ideal. Its in great condition and works fine (as you`ll hear from the samples below) its not got the instruction manual but this is so simple to use, I re discovered this unit after I recently moved (totally forgot I had it) and after about 10 mins of messing around with it came up with these sounds. [attachment=3196:attachment] A crunchy rythmn sound [attachment=3197:attachment] a fairly decent clean sound [attachment=3198:attachment] a lead sound with some delay The only thing I`ve done with this is run it through a speaker simulater on standard amp settings to give you an idea of what it`ll sound like through an amp. this unit is not high end stuff but I think the sounds are reasonable the list of effects are, Compressor, Distortion/Overdrive, 3band eq, Pitch shifter, Delay, Chorus,Flange and reverb, you can either build patches or use the effects like standard stomp boxes. It also has a built in tuner. Read HERE at harmony Central for some reviews. It has midi in/out, stereo output, headphone socket, 2x external control inputs and a volume pedal input. I was going to ebay this unit, it normally sells for around £30-£40 (UK stirling) but I decided that I`d rather see it go to a good home so I thought I`d offer it to my GMC mates first, again this is an ideal first time effects unit for someone without any effects already. It comes with the original Korg PSU which I`ve had to wrap some insulating tape around the part that goes into the black box (see picture) as the wires where starting to show through, this may need replacing, although works totally fine. [attachment=3199:attachment] Feel free to ask me any questions about the unit, postage costs etc, I`ll do my best to answer them All the best Chris -------------------- |
