GMC Forum _ PRACTICE ROOM _ Farewell Guys!

Posted by: Pavel Mar 17 2008, 07:34 PM

The time has come for me to leave GMC – definitely not by my own will but we won't discuss that here. It's time for me to move on – we're always looking for something better and more interesting and even if someone doesn't like it – you should always do what you think is right!

What i wanted to say to all you upcoming guitar players is: it was a great pleasure to work here, i learned a lot while teaching and i hope my lessons did some good to your playing. Was cool to have those collaborations, it was fun!

Practice hard, never give up and rock on!
See you around the globe guys wink.gif

Pavel- apologies for the edit on your contact details - follows on from Sinoman's comment (post no 40) about Spambots - thanks Sinoman smile.gif .
Cheers,
Tony

Wow, I for one am very sorry to see you go, I really got in to your lessons and I tried hard to match what you did in the video's. Wherever you go and whatever you do I hope that you give being a professional musician a try. I think that you can do that and one day I'll see a new rock group formed and say "hey, I know that guy Pavel, I used to take lessons from him on GMC". Farewell and good luck to you.

the first vid i saw at GMC (and the one that made me want to subscribe) was one of yours!

you are one of the reasons i really picked up the guitar and started playing at least 1 hour a day (instead of 15 min on my acoustic tongue.gif )

so i really want to thank you laugh.gif thanks to you i paid like 1000 euros gear (no regret so far tongue.gif) and still want more (like the Jem7V tongue.gif)

I agree, something's up, didn't Pavel mention before that he would never consider leaving as he was just here to help people?

Seems odd that he would suddenly change his behaviour so suddenly like that, can Kris or anybody else give us a little more info as to whats going on and why this has happened?

I'm sorry, but is there something wrong with using 2 guitar learning sites? huh.gif After all, 2 heads are better then one smile.gif

It's free will I guess, each has his own head to think. smile.gif

I need all the help I can get lol. And that isn't even with guitar biggrin.gif

Pavel will forever be a legend. He is a great musician and great talent.

I dont see anything wrong with using two sites to learn on or even teach on... As long as the lessons are different on both sites there shouldnt be a problem in my eyes... People work two jobs all the time, and i see nothing wrong with someone putting himself through college by teaching guitar..

Well , me neither. I just take it as a "family thing". Theres been times where i've pushed my own kids to the side to work on a lesson. Just feel commited to GMC I guess. wub.gif

That's fine - just to be clear, there is no question of loyalty at stake here - GMC members pay for the service, and are free to pay for another service. It is up to us to make you want to stay here by doing the best job we can on lessons, and the community in general - that we will continue to do, and let you, our members be the judges smile.gif

Since you just made me a judge, I'll say you're doing a fantastic job biggrin.gif
All of you, instructors, seniors, staff and the other members smile.gif

And I agree, there shouldn't be a question of loyalty.
Pavel and his lessons are great, I totally understand that people will follow him to his new learning grounds..

Maybe I will to someday, but as of now I'm having the greatest forum experience of my internet-life right here at GMC smile.gif
...so I guess you're stuck with me laugh.gif

With over hundred replies - I think we have given Pavel the respect he deserves for his awesome work here at GMC.

Pavel - once again YOU ROCK, good luck in the future! smile.gif I don't think I am the only one who has high expectations on you and your music! laugh.gif

I am closing this thread now - but if you want to leave a final comment here just notify me and I will re-open it!
