Here is a vid comparing the AXE FX and PD HD as they both try to emulation a RECTIFIER among others. I gotta say, the AXE is more convincing IMHO, but considering the price diff, it should be!

Which do you like better?

Would have to say the AXE FX, but both pretty good.

That's the Pod HD300 by the way, not the HD500. Obviously the HD300 has less features than the HD500. For instanace, the HD500 provides dual amp modelling and lets you place FX anywhere in the signal chain where as the HD300 only provides a single amp and the signal chain is in a fixed position. So from that point of view IMHO you can get a better range of sounds out the HD500. However, probably very a similar tone, just more tweakable?

Didn't know that but thanks! I would hate to find that out the hard way! I love being able to have flexibility in the signal path and stacking bits. The 300 is a fine unit I"m sure but the lack of those features would really make me think twice unless I found a killer deal or something. I usually try to buy FX and such and keep them long enough to do a video/playthrough. I tend to "date" gear instead of "Marry" it.

I dated the VOX pedalboard (the bigger one) and swapped it for the ME25 before I had a chance to make a vid. I just completed my ME 25 Vid which is good as I"m now eyeballing other bits in the Guitar center fx dept.
