Most common tuning is drop C, music is a mix between old school metal and Hardcore punk (explains the name). The song ALWAYS have a breakdown and the singing switches between melodic clean vocals and screaming parts.

Killswitch and as i lay dying are good too, and i enjoyed the latest unearth record, but id put BFMV under the Emo-Core genre.

I absolutely agree, the only labels that matter to me are "I like that song" and "I don't like that song" smile.gif

Uh Oh the labelers will kill you for this one!^^ Soilwork is Melodic Death Metal from Gothenburg (like In Flames). The Gothenburg Melodic Death is one of the main influences of Metalcore...

Don't know if it falls under the label metalcore (rather humorcore) but Psychostick is a pretty good band.

I'll have to warn you though. The lyrics don't make any sense (actually the do, but that is another story) and the video's are somewhat disturbing (though they are relatively family friendly). contains some explicit language.
