Hi!

After asking instructor Piotr Kaczor how he got his awesome drum sound I simply had to try them out and see if I could get a sound that I could use. And I did!! I recorded the simplest thing possible and here it is:
Attached File  drop_d_fjant.mp3 ( 714.38K ) Number of downloads: 416

Note that I currently only got the demo version of Addictive Drums (but I will absolutely buy AD now!) and that I didn't change anything in the sound at all! No effects are added by me and also the guitars are also the simplest possible.

Let me know what you think of this drum sound. And then also imagine what you could get if you spend some time working with the sound!

P.S. Again million thanks Piotr! AD is awesome (I have used EZdrummer earlier but I actually think that AD sounds better)

Sounds great man!

I completely agree with you, after listening to AD after using EZ drummer for a long time, i can't go back the EZ drummer drums so flat and lifeless in comparison.

True - I'm just testing it, too.
Here is what I'm working on now - and its drumms are only a demo version, too - so almost an empty set wink.gif and it sounds really good.

That's a very nice demo!
I agree, I love Addictive. So convenient, so live sounding and much faster loading time than EZDrummer I think.
Great riff man!

Don't have Cubase here (I'm at work...)
But from my memory: I setup a MIDI track, then in VST Devices section put AD. Then on the track tab you set it's redirected to this VST.
You will have to watch, what is set as the output - it should be your ASIO driver out, and not, for example, some MIDI controller...

when I'm home I'll get some screenshots so we can compare them with your ones.

Addictive drums are really phantastic. I use it sometimes but don't really know much about its enormous capabilities, and how to use it.
