GMC Forum _ MTP (Ramiro) _ Mtp December For Johnvg

Well john, I've copied the list that you've sent me in order to see the goals that you have to improve.

I have some ideas for a little exercise about switching pentatonics and some about the odd rhythm training. I think within the end of the week I'd probably gonna uploaded here. But you can start by taking a tour around two lessons that will help you with some of the things that you want to improve.

We are going to keep the list of things that you sent me here.

Here is a list of things that I know and or have memorized:

-How to construct 3 note triads (major, minor, dim, aug)
-Intervals
-7 three note per string shapes for each mode
-Major and minor root, first inversion, and second inversion arpeggio shapes on the 3 high strings
-Construction of 7th chords
-5 shapes of the pentatonic scale
-Little bit of knowledge of voice leading
-I almost always use directional picking when I play

Weaknesses:

-Seamlessly switching between pentatonic or modal boxes
-Improvising leads over backing tracks, I am better at taking time and writing it out then making up on the spot
-vibrato while bending
-Long legato sequences
-I can currently cleanly sweep 3 note sequeances around 90 bpm
-I am a better rhytm player than lead, but have some problems with off beat rhythms and odd time signitures and can all around becom tighter

Sounds Great! I'll start looking over the two lessons that you suggested later tonight.
