For some reason I can't explain, my brain has taken a nose dive. I need what a Aflat/Bflat is. How it is played or any other notation like this how to best remember to play when I run across. I have had this explained to a few times but have since forgotten. Maybe by doing this and asking this question it will stick this time with me. Thanks!!

Mike

I am not sure what you are asking. A flat is Ab chord. Take simple A major and move everything down half step (1 fret) that woud be like A flat major.

Sorry here is what I got an Ab/Bb chord. So does that mean that I play an Ab Major chord with a Bb in the Bass?

Sorry if I sounded confusing earlier.

Ahh I got it,slash chords, got me confused long ago as well!

Ab/Bb means that Ab chord is played over Bb in bass, yes.
Order might confuse indeed,by some logic it should be bass and then chord
but that is how it is,a chord played over(/) certain note in bass. smile.gif

G aug 7 is 1, 3, #5, b7

And the notes are G,B D# and F,just in case. smile.gif
Works well as a dominant chord in key of C,
used a lot in Jazz per example.
