GMC Forum _ REC _ Beginner Summer Tune

Original lesson: http://www.guitarmasterclass.net/ls/Beginner-Summer-Tune/

Doing this take was a great chance to take a break from AP practice and work on important things like vibrato and dynamics. I can see from the video that these things are progressing in my skill set. Like all other techniques they take some work though. When I first listened to this and compared it with Piotr's I realized how bright my tone was compared to the original. So I EQ'ed it by cutting the highs above 5K. Still the end result has a brighter tone than yours Piotr. Tell us how you got this tone. Was it the tone knobs on the guitar, the amp, after recording, or all three?

Great take!!! I love your dynamic and vibrato it was very very good! Your sound is perfect and I could feel your playing not just hearing it! The only thing that was a little weird is a fast part at 0:39 it sounded rushed a little
It is 10 from me anyway! Great performance mate!

This is a really nice take James. Even though your tone is different it still works very well.. that Strat sound is just perfect for this kind of tune. No criticisms from me smile.gif

Hi mate! Great feeling! I enjoyed your take. I have nothing to add to what Alex and Ben said... keep on the good job! smile.gif

Awesome take, my friend. I like your sound, fits perfect like Ben said.
If you are curious... I almost always turn the treble knob to around 9, 10 o'clock, midle knob to 2 or 3 o'clock. I often cut all the frequency over 12kHz and always add the magic PSP Vintage Warmer plugin. If you have any question about my settings just PM me. Cheers!
