I dont know if many of you have heard about "I". Its a "new" band from Norway, they are some months old or something.
When lookin at the lineup you just have to know that this is gonna be great!

Abbath - Vocals & Guitar
Ice Dale - Lead Guitar
TC King - Bass
Armagedda - Drums
Demonaz - lyrics

Members from Immortal, Gorgoroth and other norwegian black metal bands.

Cursed We Are was actually very much like Immortal.

The storm I ride, I can hear alot of Iron Maiden in this! Freakin awesome melodies and riffs in it. It sounds like the solo is also heavily influenced by Iron Maiden.

Battalions, what can I say, just awesome.

laugh.gif You're a small group of two always showing up in these kind of threads. wink.gif
Just kidding, I always check you guys threads with great interest, I'd love to be in a band playing this kind of music for that matter.

I liked the "I" melodies.

And while we're still talking about Norwegian bands similar to this, Dimmu Borgir. In Sorte Diabolic is playing at my place atm. Great stuff!

Hehe tongue.gif I've heard that the old dimmu stuff is good, I havent really bothered listening to it though.
What do you think of really, really old school stuff like bathory and darkthrone? I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE the 4 first bathory, uhm, I dont have the first yet, but still, I have 2, 3 and 4. Its SOOOOOOOOOOOOOO extremely good.
Actually I think everything of darkthrone is good, they are a very unique band, they havent really had any crap albums, imo. Though, my absolute favorites are the 3 black, goatloard and, uhmm, maybe sardonic wrath because of the awesome songs.
Also old immortal, mayhem and burzum, its unbelievable. Mayhem-deathcrush, its soooo sweeeeet.
I still dont have burzum-hvis lyset tar oss, thats like the best album he have made, so I've heard. Oh and GORGOROTH!!! Pentagram, freakin unbelieveable. Oh btw, we are playing at the same festival as gorgoroth smile.gif Same stage, same night, hope fully right before/after them. /brag smile.gif

Equimanthorn dude. Its insane. Pure insanity. Its TOO good. I really got no words, its too good.

Watching the video now, I must admit I dont really like his viking metal stuff at all. I dont really like the vocals or the style, and I dont like that he is gotten so "clean" >_<

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OyYnstGB3rM...ted&search= A fine day to die! Awesome, not much of a video though.

If you havent already, check this video out: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=luFCBdS5PAs
Burzum - Dunkelheit. Its THE best musicvideo in the history. Its like I'm in a trance or something while watching that video, I'm almost crying, its so freakin unbelievable. Oh jesus, I'm getting a bit carried away here, this music makes me go crazy smile.gif

Its an intresting sound they have but deffinitly not what I expected from the lineup... I deffinitly wouldnt call it black metal.

Robin you should check out the albums Stormblast (Stormblown) and For Al Tid(For All Time) by Dimmu Borgir... those albums are probably quite different to what you have heard of them already. I right into them when I was 1st getting into bands like Burzum, Immortal and Gorgoroth. Dimmu Borgir dont even call themselves black metal anymore either..

I checked them out from your link.I'm always like stuck in the middle with bands like this.I dont like this type of singing but, this is the type of music i love to play.Much respect for these singer's because i dontthink people really understand how hard it is to keep your voice show after show singing like this. It's definatly a talent and should not be looked at as just screaming and noise. It's just not for me though.Im into a singer that can sing and scream through the whole song.I always get stuck with music where i love the band but dont like the vocals or vice versa

Indeed "I" is not black metal. I've heard that the old dimmu is good, I've just barely heard a little bit of it, a long time ago. Maybe I should check it out.
