Andrew6- Basic Metal Rhythm Guitar |
|
Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.
The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Rhythm placement - 3,5
Cleanness - 4 Feel - 4 Posture - 4 Sound - 3,8 This one is better than the Black Sabbath one. Your picking needs to be tight like it's played by a machine. It is very important in this style of music. Some chops are not 100% in time. I think you have too much distortion. Try less drive and your sound will be nicer and cleaner. I think it's too buzzy like this. Overall it was pretty good one. -------------------- Check out my Instructor profile

Rhythm placement - 3,5
Cleanness - 3,5 Feel - 4 Posture - 4 Sound - 3,5 Some more rhythm practice would do you good. You just need to be more precise. And i agree with the other comments; Too much drive on the sound. Cool take, definitely better that the Sabbath one. There are still some timing problems but as I said before, with a bit of practice you will for sure be able to fix this, just make sure to practice with a click or a drum computer. And I also think your sound is a bit too distorted, like this it gets too muddy, try reducing your gain a bit, you will also increase your attack like that.
