> Rules

Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Original lesson: Stoner Rock 2 by Gabriel Leopardi

I tried to give my vibrato a wider/faster feel after Gab's comments on my practice video. Thanks everyone for the feedback!

Hey there! I do enjoy this take. Overall image of the lesson is kept and many important aspects brought to attention. There are a few details to take care of. Try to practice those moments where You skip between parts. You need to get more confidence when You change the position on a fretboard or go from hig to low strings...for example you were slightly after the beat at 0:21-0:22.
At 0:28 we have a moment of hesitation and something went wrong - not wrong note but rather right hand slip.

Vibratio works pretty col smile.gif

Hey man, that was brilliant. I didn't see or hear anything that gave me cause for concern, actually. I think the piece flowed really well, your timing was good and your lead playing was strong.

The vibrato was confident and definitely wide enough. The tone was appropriate for the stoner rock sound too.. fuzzy distortion. Personally, I don't like that fuzzy sound but stoner rock needs it so well done for being authentic to the style smile.gif
