Hello Everyone,
I just joined GMC today after lurking in the theory section for almost 13 hours yesterday smile.gif. Well not all in theory, I read many forum topics, checked out profiles, lessons, and all the positve response from members. I have had guitars for a long time, my first an Ovation acoustic I picked up when i was around 12, and then my Ibanez RG470 at about 19, and finally my Carvin that I had made when I was maybe 26. I spent time self teaching from books, running scales learning a few chords and then tried to learn theory from books. With a busy work schedule I never really had time to commit myslef to attain the level of skill I have always wanted. Well here I am smile.gif and the time has come, my guitars are polished, restrung and I am ready to dive into some great lessons and a mass of theory. I hope all of you are ready to assist with all of my stupid questions smile.gif.

Regards, Ronnie

Welcome Ronnie,
Ovation - lovely guitar to start on was it a Balladeer by any chance? Fond memories of playing Ovations in guitar shops and sad memories of having to hand them back as I had no money sad.gif .

Cheers,
Tony

Thanks for the greetings tongue.gif , and my Ovation is just a cheap Celebrity model. I actually still have it and it still plays decent. Andrew your theory section is like a magnet for me, I absolutely love it !! Great fundamentals to get me back on track and playing again, this time with understanding and less confusion.
