I'd say your vibrato is looking and sounding good here smile.gif Especially since you are using only one finger on some of them. Many folks find it harder to use a single finger and get a wide variance on vibrato. Many folks use two or three fingers. I use the single finger technique similar to what you are doing in many cases smile.gif

Your pitch seems very good as well. It's hard to nail the pitch on bends when you first get in to it. Takes time, practice and careful listening. Seems like the notes are spot on smile.gif Congrats!!

Hi Manu, from our observations of your vibrato.. the issues were not really related to pitch. The pitch was good. The point Darius was making was that by having an irregular approach to vibrato (sometimes doing upwards vibrato on the G string, for example) could lead to pitch issues. But overall your pitch control is very good.

It was purely the physical approach we were looking at. smile.gif

Here your vibrato sounds great but I can still see you doing upwards vibrato on the G string. You do manage to make it work somehow but generally we don't do this as it's not as comfortable or easy to control. I've added some detailed stuff in the REC take.

Hi mate, I think that Todd's and Ben's comments clarified this issue, as well as my comment at the mentoring thread.

From what I can see in this video, your vibrato is not bad, but it's true that the vibration done (up and down movement) is not always regular or related to the track's groove. It's not a bad idea to work on some GMC vibrato lessons, or search for some great "vibrato" instructors here, and work on some of their lessons. I recommend checking lessons by Ben, Jonathan Burgos, and Marcus Lavendell. Learn some of these lessons, and play along with the original track to get the feel of the vibrato.

Now it's spot on! I'm sorry to disagree but for me the pitch is more stable now, not only the visual side. Of course your pitch control has always been descent but at your level I believe we can work on such a small details, to help you become even better. Great take! Well done smile.gif

Your work is our reason to feel our work is worth something. It's a pleasure to track your progress. You have a very good sense of musicality and your decision to improve your technical skills was spot on. It's not about being a shredder but just to make sure your skills will not limit you in your execution of imaginated licks of phrases smile.gif It's just a tool but very useful smile.gif
