I've been visiting my local guitar shop for a few months, trying different guitars, and I have just received a call from them telling me that they just received the guitar I was waiting for! smile.gif smile.gif

I couldn't resist so I told them to reserve it for me, until I can get there next week to buy it.

It's a Gibson SG Standard, Cherry color, and I guess it will be the perfect guitar for me, as I totally love my Epiphone SG, this can only get better. I've tried several Les Pauls and Strats too, along with a SG 61 reissue and a SG Standard (ebony black), so I guess I know pretty much what to expect from this guitar.

I'm not at my hometown these days, and I just CAN'T WAIT to get my hands on it!!, but I will have to wait until next week due to work and some visits I will receive on weekend... GrrrRRRrRrR.

I told them to keep it appart and do a set-up, so that if everything is fine (no cosmetic deffects, etc.), I'll get it.

I wish I could teleport to next week already, why do hours have so many minutes? And so many seconds!!! mad.gif tongue.gif

Thanks guys, one day less of waiting! A few more to go! What will I do! unsure.gif

I'll post some pics and later a review once I got it. I also thought it might be interesting to do a comparison review between Epiphone SG and Gibson SG.

All I need is for time to go by... fast!! fast!! tongue.gif laugh.gif

Well, I'm finally the proud owner of a Gibson SG smile.gif wink.gif

I finally got back to my hometown and tried it yesterday, it sounds great and looks great, a couple very minor faults in the nitro finish though, shame on you Gibson!, nothing important I bet most people wouldn't even realise about them, but I have an eye for imperfections.

But as life can't ever be perfect, now that I have one of my dream guitars... I just had a wisdom tooth extracted this afternoon too!! sad.gif sad.gif , so I haven't had much chance to play it... at the moment I'm typing with my left hand as I', holding a bag of ice against my cheek with my right... it was quite a disgusting experience, it all went OK, but it's just disgusting... and worst of all is that I will have to remove the remaining three wisdom teeth in the forecoming weeks... a nightmare... at least for me, I guess I'm weak when it comes to doctors and blood...

But what on earth am I doing talking about my teeth! I have an SG!!

Expect some pictures as soon as I go back to my apartment next week (I'm currently at my parents' and I don't have my camera or phone cable to post one...), and as promised I plan on doing a nice review and comparison between both epi and gibson SG's, both are great.

Ok, enough one-handed typing. Got to rest sad.gif

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!! cool.gif

Can't wait for the pics Fran.

And I feel your pain, I had all four of my wisdom teeth removed last year in one sitting. 2 of which were impacted. I was awake but very "happy" at the time of the extraction but afterwards the pain was horrible. The Jell-o was good though smile.gif

I hope you feel better real soon so you can spend some quality time with your new baby smile.gif
