I really like the concept of cloud storage but I still can't really justify the price of the most popular services. I still use one cloud service which I got as promo by buying some hardware devices and it is handy but I'll probably not continue using it past the promotion period (2 years).
What I find troubling with the price is that for 1 year of cloud access you can buy a very neat and small external hard drive with usually more space available on it than on the cloud. These will come with 2 year warranty usually and can last a long time. I currently use a Toshiba external usb drive for my Time Machine backups. It looks really cool and matches the Mac silver style. Of course, the risk of having your own "home cloud" backups is that hard drives can and will fail at one point while storing online will keep them safe forever due to duplicate backups they make etc. I think cloud storage is the future and that prices will start coming down (same as with harddrives which are very cheap nowadays). -------------------- For GMC support please email support (at) guitarmasterclass.net
