The new BOSS POCKET GT is about the size of a cell phone. It's a multi fx unit and an audio interface for recording your guitar in to your computer. It also pairs via blutooth with your phone to allow you to control and watch youtube videos and play along with them by using controls on the front of the POCKET GT. The more people use their phones, the more it seems there is a market for gear that is built to work directly with/on a phone. Once the app is installed, it's a great little learning tool and a handy mult fx unit that fits in the pocket. Looks like it would make a handy practice device, especially for travel.
WHAT DO YOU THINK? COOL OR JUST ANOTHER MICRO SIZED UNIT LIKE THE OLD POCKET POD?

One of many very cool features. One doesn't need a foot controller to make changes which is very handy. Lugging a big foot controller around with this thing would sorta defeat the purpose of it's being nice and portable. It's got a ton of features packed in to a very small space. It goes way beyond something like the Pocket Pod in this way. It's not just effects. It's a collection of features to help any player practice and learn.
It's been built from the ground up to work with youtube, which is a great idea since youtube is a big part of learning guitar these days. Not to mention it also serves as an audio interface for when a player is ready to start recording. Grab a copy of reaper and bam, instant micro studio!
Also it can try to remove the lead vocal/guitar in a youtube video that you can play the main bit in a given tune.
