I still got all my guitars I ever had!

Fender Stratocaster
Oakland ZX1200
Guild Starfire IV

I inherited these 3 from my dad.

My main guitar, the Ibanez you get to see in all my videos was a present from my dad to me a few months before he died.

So all these guitars are connected with memories, that's why selling is a no-go smile.gif

That makes all of your guitars worth the most in my opinion. smile.gif

My grandfather had some stringed instruments that I never got a chance to get. No one else played, but I wasn't inline for anything being a kid when he passed. All of that stuff had been sold so I have nothing from the only man in my family who played any instruments thanks to greedy family members. mad.gif

Lets see if I can remember...

Harmony Acoustic from Sears (still have it)

Used to have:

Washburn electric (don't remember model)
B.C. Rich Warlock (late 80's model)
ESP LTD M-250 (2 of them)
Ibanez RG 550
Ibanez RG bass
Cort fretless bass
Guild Flying V "Lance"
Ibanez semi-hollow
Some no name brand with built-in effects

Currently have:

Gibson LP 1960 reissue
Fender YJM Strat
Fender American Special Strat
Hamer Californian (korean)
Squier Vintage Telecaster
Martin Acoustic DX1
SX Vinatge Series Bass

Still wish I had the Ibanez RG550... they used to be easy to find for dirt cheap. Now they are too expensive.

Also miss having the ESP LTD with EMG 81/85 but I don't regret selling it.

ESP LTD Alexi-600
Gibson Les Paul

I tend to get bored with a piece of gear, so I trade it on something more expensive.

The Washburn MG-34 is torn apart in the storage space waiting to be rebuilt one of these days. All the hardware was corroding so I would like to get all new hardware and rebuild it since it was my first electric guitar.

Cool Thread Bogdan! And definately some impressive lists going on in here. smile.gif I was just thinking when Todd gets around to this thread, his list may take up an entire page! He seems to go thru some guitars quicker than a kid goes thru a pair of shoes. cool.gif

Nice thread and some fascinating lists. But how the heck do I remember all my guitars and when / what order I got them! Hmmm .... no I can't do it. biggrin.gif

Here is my poor attempt with very incomplete information

Cheap nylon classical guitar (not far off 50 years ago) - think I left it behind when I left my parents home.
Very cheap electric guitar - now we're talking late 1960s and cheap guitars were REALLY BAD! Can't remember what happened to it.
A "Strat" type home made guitar, which had a damaged neck and was painted purple - neck repaired and sanded down to wood - couldn't look at it when it was purple if I had a hangover. Passed to a relative.
A better quality classical guitar though still pretty low budget. *
A build it yourself electric guitar kit - mail order - no idea of the make and can't even remember what it looked like. Very early 1970s. Wonder What happened to it?
..... there was then a pause of many, many years. Until ....
1999 - a Yamaha Pacifica, along with a bundled practice amp and a mult function Zoom pedal - has been passed to eldest son
Vintage av6plb - sold
Self assembled Les Paul type guitar but with bolt on neck (ugh!) and Wilkinson hardware - dismantled & sold / recycled
Decent quality Spanish origin Classical Guitar, bought when I was taking lessons ... guess what - can't remember the make - sold when I gave up on Classical guitar.
Vintage brand V100BB - sold
Gibson SG Standard (used) - sold to pay vets fees
Self Build Strat / Tele hybrid with mahogany body - dismantled & sold / recycled
Self Build Tele - good quality body but even with Seymour Duncan pups didn't make the grade - dismantled & sold / recycled.
Vintage brand Tele copy - sold
Hagstrom Viking Deluxe **
Self Build Strat **
Tanglewood TW45NSB *
PRS SE Soapbar **
Vintage brand VSA590 - sold
Vintage brand sg copy - sold
Gibson SG Classic P90s *

Over the past 6 years or so there's also been on the bass front:-
Encore Bass - purchased on e-bay when drunk - awful thing - rapidly sold
Self build Jazz bass - including cutting / carving body - dismantled & sold / recycled
Vintage Advance av4 - sold
Hofner Ignition Violin Bass *

* - still have
** - still have but with upgraded pickups

HELP - it is a terribly long list - I shudder to think of the total costs in that lot. Seems like I can't seem to be able to settle for what I've got.

Nice thread indeed.

That lets me think of more than 30 years playing guitar, buying guitars, selling guitars (thanks god for ebay).

So i won't list guitars that i bought and sold in between a short period of time, cause i didn't get friends with them.

Lets start of 30 years ago

- Classical guitar Matsuoka (still have it and play it)
- Washburn Double cut (it was stolen in school)
- Yamaha SG 300 (It felt of the stage cause a drunk roadie was handling some ligthbars)
- Ibanez Roadstar (with 2 Humbuckers & Floyd Rose)
- Fender Stratocaster 62 reissue Japan made (different modifikations on it) - still have it & play it
- Heritage C150 Les Paul (One of the first productions, awesome sounding Les Paul) - sold it, as far as i don't feel comfortable with
Les Pauls
- Ibanez RBM Reb Beach
- Zion Radicaster (with some kind of weird airbrush design yellow & pink).
- Fender Stratocaster, built in 1962 (my beloved rotten babe - i just play it at home)
- Takamine EN 10
- Gibson ES 335
- Lipe-Guitars - After several years of searching for the right guitar, i finally landed with Lipe-Guitars. Handbuild, Custom made to my
specifications. Actually i'm playing a Virtuoso, Classic Virtuoso and Soldato - 3 Guitars in main use, always on stage -
good sounding and faithful workhores thats enough to me (for the moment). Wished that i found them some years
earlier - that could have saved a lot of money and a lot of discussions with my wife. But thats another story.

Just thinking - have to buy a bunch of flowers to my wife - letting me do all this...
