New amp depends on what your using it for and what your willing to spend sounds like your looking for something smaller, my recommendation is a Line 6, there a good practice amp, i use a 30watt for practice and it was rather cheap. its got alot of effects built right in and all your pedals just install through patch chords smile.gif if your going bigger, 1 word to say.. KRANK! best company ever i love the amps and the cabs they got to go with it smile.gif great tone and real simple haha. but for small amps Line 6 Spyder is my recommendation

ps Krank also costs a bundle sad.gif

You read it same way I did. I read Wah, he said whammy pedal. A Wah ALWAYS go before the amp like
guitar->wah->amp

I don't even know what a whammy pedal does or where it goes. Xranthiuos was searching for an fx loop.

any chance you could give us the name of the amp you're thinking of buying, it would be a good start, so we can look at alternatives if your choice is not so great.

The Boss Cube -20x but im thinking of a different am, one with 10+ watts with gain, bass, reverb, delay, treble, input for headphones, and low price.

What's your number 1 piority?

Gain and valve sound? Skip the headphones and get a Laney LC15R valve amp

Headphones? Maybe a PoD, G7 or similar could be an option. Look for info from Andrew. Don't know what one cost though.

A compromise? I'm sure the Boss (Does Roland call the cubes "Boss" where you're from?) Cube will have a little of everything and be a very good compromise.

so the story so far is....
whammy pedal = wah pedal
this kid thinks that effects pedal needs a extra input socket
and most people are successfully confused

OHHHHHHHH so your on about a WAH pedal............a wah pedal and whammy pedal are reallly different just to let you know...wah pedal changes the guitar treble and bass and tone. Where as a whammy pedal does the same as a whammy bar...it actually changes the notes/tune.

Just get the amp! laugh.gif

It's just that pedals can connect to the amp differently
Like a Wah should always be connected as
guitar-wah-amp

or if you have more pedals
guitar->wah->dist->amp

The second way is to put the pedal in the fx-loop ("extra input" as we named it in this thread)
There you put pedals like delay f.ex.
loop->delay->loop
