Here is where the magic happens: the REC board turns bedroom guitarists into real pros. Remember - it doesn't matter if you fail or pass, as long as you keep posting REC takes you will progress.

The entries will be graded by a number of instructors. After grading, members will be accredited with the appropriate points if they pass, and adjustments will be made to their REC level.
Passing grade is 6 or higher.

Hi mate!

Great playing here! This lesson is a killer metal rhythm exercise. I can say that you are playing everything clear and clean and most of the parts sound tight too.

I can only feel some power chords that are rushed (not too much, mostly in the first section), and I also notice that your hand gets tired when playing the riff on 6th string (00:16). I think that adjusting your right hand movement in this part can help. For any reason is seems that you modify the movement, comparing this part with the other ones, and that make it sounds less precise. Check it out.

The tone really works and everything else is GREAT. Keep on the good job.

Awesome! I can echo that the tone has a very nice organic vibe to it. If you wanted to come even closer to Gab's tone you could try adding more midrange.

I can sense note separation could be slightly better in the non-palm muted parts. However all-in-all this is close to a 'perfect' take - and highly enjoyable on top of that.

Very well done you get a 9 from me!

Top Notch work on this. Your technique is spot on all the way around. Picking, muting, hand synch, it's all there. Also, very tight in terms of your timing. I don't hear any drift, no string noise, nothing out of key. You nailed it. This is a great example of your time spent in practice working to great effect. This is sorted. You are ready for the next Adventure!!
SOLID 9!!
