I don't know about most of you, but I am a huge fan of 80's and 90's metal. Some of the best guitarists came from that heavy metal era. That's when guitar gods really existed and there wasn't any of this playing of the same 3 power chords over and over.

Anyway enough of that...lol... If anyone in the U.S. is going to be near Oklahoma from July 13th - 15th you may want to check out the 1st annual ROCKFEVER. It's a ton of bands from the 80's and 90's - bands like Poison, Dokken, Ratt, Twisted Sister,etc,etc... It's going to be a killer show. I saw Poison and Cinderella last year. Poison puts on a hell of a show.

If anyone is interested, here's a link showing all of the bands that are going to be there:

yea man, i agree, hitting 3 power chords its what most guitarists in today's "bands" do. 80's and 90's metal rocked!!!

"Fact is, nothing in the world bores me more than gear...If I played thru your rig, I would still sound like me. Van Halen would sound like Van Halen. Brian May...etc. Very early in my career I decided to focus on creating music and not being a guitar tech. Being a good guitar tech is a very different and extremely difficult job, so why not leave it to a pro?"

Yes, George Lynch is one of my favs (among others). Years ago I worked in a Health Food Store in Arizona... George Lynch shopped there on a regular basis...Pretty cool.

Would love to go but I'm in NC! I did get to see Poison and Ratt about a week ago. Poison's new album has some really cool covers! Poison re-worked their set list finally! I had seen the same show 3 times over about 5 summers and they came through this year.

I really want to go but my usual concert going buddy can't go on the 14th. I don't want to drive up for a day or two then have to drive home and then drive back up for the last day.

Anyone going?
