I love that one! Some recording don't do amps justice but 80-90% of it is really great!

Never buy an Amplifier without testing it in a local store. ohmy.gif
These soundsamples are not accurate enough. So many factors that matter.

I'm choosing to pin this thread. Though the material on the referenced site vary in quality it gives a good reference to how an amp sounds. Some cases are in fact strikingly similar to how an amp sounds in real life, set aside a pair of headphones doesn't give the same massive punch to stir ones intestines as a 2x12 or 4x12 cabinet.

When shopping for an amp this is a good place to start. Disregards people playing, it's too easy to think an amp sounds bad if the playing is not what you expected and the otherway around, a pro player can make any guitar and amp sound good. So try to shut out the playing and merely listen to the sound character.

Mind that some recordings are real professional with several guitar tracks laid on top of eachother for a more massive sound and some are at the least less professional. The truth would in many cases lie somewhere inbetween the two cases.

Great link,

I Fall in Love with the sound of the Bogner Ecstasy: http://www.netmusicians.org/index.php?value=Bogner%20Ecstasy&section=amp
...... but..... I will never have the money to buy one since my doughter will be borne in a few weeks and will need all the money smile.gif

will try to simulate it with my pod x3, but I know I will never reach that quality sad.gif

thanks for that link

Nice link man! Tube amps are definitely king. I play through a mg series marshall, mf100hdfx half stack. For the money, I think this amp has alot of versatillity. Here's a link to listen. No, this is definitely not me playing! tongue.gif Enjoy!
