I think you did an amazing job!

Chandra this is fantastic ! It's really great to see someone discovering Jan Cyrka who is an amazing guitarist.. he's a big vibrato inspiration to me. Your classical vibrato and bending is flawless biggrin.gif

Thanks Guitarrero.

Ben, I knew you would comment since I saw this type of vibrato on your lessons first. Finally seems to have learnt it. All credits to you. smile.gif Thank you.

Great to see you exploring these "techniques". Whammy can bring a lot of expression to ones playing.
You did an amazing job in this video! smile.gif

Great Job! This reminded me of some of Gary Moore's ballad style playing. Fantastic job on the whammy bar and vibrato! I had never heard of this song or artist before, but now I'm going to look them up and listen to some more stuff by them. Once again great job Maharzan! biggrin.gif

Great playing man, excellent whammy bar control smile.gif

very good,I thought I heard a note or 2 near the end that did not quit get the desired pitch, and IMO if you are going to use the whamy bar ,use a wider width of vibrato(more then you could do you your fret hand) you will get more passion out of the note
but you are still one hell of a shredder

Wow, nice! Very emotive playing here. Well done. While your getting in to stuff with lots of killer vibrato, maybe experiment with various vibrato techniques. E.g. using two fingers, three fingers, for a bend. Mixing classical (right left) with electric style (up down) bending/vibrato. Go nuts!

Also, great video quality. Looks like a DSLR.

Great job! Second part was definitely best. You seem to be a little unsure on your bends at certain areas, as in you bend and miss a tiny, tiny, tiny bit, and correct it by ear 1/10th of a second afterwards, but it is noticable.
In the first half you seem so concentrated on the vibrato, the accuracy of things like slides and picking strength falls a bit behind. When the drums kick in halfway, you seem to get some confidence, and everything improves. A little tempo off on some small parts, but probably due to concentrating very much on the vibrato. I am sure it would help to put on a metronome when recording, as it is really difficult to stay well in tempo in tracks like this, where it's not much to tell it from. smile.gif
Great cover though, well done. I am sure it would sound 10x better with a little bit more work on the tone as well. The tone works great when the drums work in, but sounds off in the mix on the first half.
Also the first lick sounds sloppy (delay?), and the legato part was a little weak tongue.gif Great job on the bend + tremoloarm, not always easy, you nailed it! 1:18-1:26 was peeerfect!

Excellent job. I love this song, and Cyrka is amazing. It is difficult to be in control in songs like this. Looking forward to hear it when you feel you no longer have to say "long way to go" - I am sure it won't be long! wink.gif

Thank you again all for your wonderful comments. It was a quick job well took a week though.

Todd, I was doing the classic vibrato as I think I did this after Ben's lesson back then. Its quite a tough job. Anyway, will definitely try to mix in future.

I agree with all your comments Sollesnes. Long way to go. The backing doesn't have metronome and its so hard to get timing. Need definitely more practice. smile.gif I suck at tone still. So many things to lean, I don't know when I will get all the things perfect. I still seem to miss notes while picking, damn haven't been able to fix that since I started guitar. sad.gif

Anyways, so welcome for all your feedbacks. I will definitely try to improve upon more. Cheers!!!

@Todd, ah yes, its a Canon 7D. I got it out of focus for this one. Hard to shoot when you are alone. smile.gif
