The thing about being really stupid, is that there are a zillion ways to be a moron. There are usually several ways to be intelligent, given a situation, but it is a small finite number. But there are always a zillion ways to be to blithering idiot. So finding a new way to have the intellect of an artichoke is nothing to be proud of really, it is easy to do.

So true... To bad im still an artichoke haha

i was there for a 5-week summer program, i would die to go to college there its my dream haha. he also purely picks ALL his sweeps he said, no hammer ons and pull offs, makes them more precise sounding i think, but takes out the nice legato element some sweeps can have

That's great, Berklee is cool. did you go this August? I had a student who went to the one that just passed.
I agree with you a good balance of both is ideal, so you can change between an aggressive or fluid sweep sound:)
